So that means because they WERE popular, they're influential? I really don't get your reasoning.

Yeah, you're right. Some time ago, I did think 'Naive' was catchy though. Now I hate that song.

I used to love that song, and I really liked the band - then I turned 14 and they just became extremely average and boring.

Yeah, the fact that every kid knows a certain artist doesnt make that artist influential. It just makes them popular.
