Again, it's people who aren't listening to the music. They are simply looking at the bands image, and the image of the fans and saying, "I don't want to be a part of that." Which is shallow in my opinion, but I'm not here to tell people how to live.
Bottom line, Slipknot gets a bad rep becasue they look like this:
Maybe if they looked more like this, they would get more attention on this forum:
