Here here. I hate that too. There's a whole group of attention whores in my town that claim to be into santaria or something. They just do it for the negative attention, because hell, thats still attention. *rolls eyes*

It isn't always a gimmick. There are bands who take their Satanism seriously (Akercocke), and bands who do it for a laugh (making fun of earlier metal). And to the guy above Sleeps, "fuck Jesus" metal isn't necessarily Satanist (Immolation, The Meads of Asphodel). Anyway, Deicide have been around almost 15 years, so they're not a flash in the pan gimmick.

Well, were do you think metal got its bigest guns? certainly not from love songs or songs about saving the world. i beleave metal got most of its kick ass sounds and lyrics from the roots of satan. and if you cant realize that then i realy dont think your a real metal head. and if your wondering i dont think that christian metal is cool, not because of the mesage, just because it sounds like crap! by the way no hard feelings. just know that satan is your friend, and if it wasnt for bands like deicide then there wouldnt be any crappy new metal bands to follow in there foot steps

there is nothing wrong with the worshiping of maybe it is something he see's in hell...to me....all of this higher greater power is just bunch of bull****........all of these happy go luky people wwho live the perfect life.....well i copme from the real world where everything isnt so happy go lucky....people who see the world for what it really is...they come from below..... Kill For Satan.....back me up here

Satanism is a joke religion. It has no roots in anything other than that guy in the 60's who felt like writing a Satanic Bible.

And Christian metal does not suck. Still Remains is amazing.

Demon hunter is a christian hardcore/metal band, there pretty good, im not into that satanic stuff either,its such a joke.
