I'll need to check it out. They've progressed quite a fair bit since their debut, which was pretty horrible. Check your inbox.

I'm not sure if you think of The Fall of Troy as post-hardcore or mathcore, but..!

there's obviously going to be exceptions, I'd consider Converge to be metalcore and they're a great band.
However, aside from nu-metal, can you think of another genre which has more terrible bands?

Also Briks, I'd consider The Fall of Troy post-hardcore, but they're pretty good. Which albums of theirs you got?

Actually, whilst we're on the subject of metalcore, here's a bunch of albums to check out:

7 Angles 7 Plagues - Jhazyne's Lullaby
Amia Venera Landscape - The Long Procession
Architects - Hollow Crown
August Burns Red - Constellations
Botch - We Are the Romans
Breather Resist - Charmer
Dillinger Escape Plan - Option Paralysis
Down - Nola
Every Time I Die - New Junk Aesthetic
Fear Before the March of Flames - The Always Open Mouth
Heart in Hand - Only Memories
Hopesfall - No Wings to Speak Of
Knut - Challenger
Mistery Signals - Controller
My Eyes Fall Victim - We Are All Without Merit
Oh, Sleeper - Children of Fire
Reflux - The Illusion of Democracy
Rosetta - The Galilean Satellites
Senses Fail - Still Searching (Deluxe Edition Only)
Strapping Young Lad - City
The Receiving End of Sirens - Between the Heart and the Synapse
Underoath - Define the Great Line
Will Haven - Voir Dire

That should give you all enough music to play with.

I haven't bought any of their albums yet, but I've been listening to them on Spotify lately. If I were to buy one, It'd probably be Doppelgänger.

Just out of curiosity, was that list made with the intent of "if you like metalcore, here are some good metalcore albums for you" or "if you like heavy stuff, here are some albums for you?" If it's the former it's the first time I've ever heard anyone refer to SYL as metalcore. Rosetta I can sort of understand, the "post-metal" genre label has never really stuck and even the band themselves take exception to it.
