Just wondering what people thoughts are on the new Iced Earth vocalist. In my opinion he isn't as talented as Barlow, but he is really good and made the Gettysburg trilogy. He did exceptionally well considering the material was written to be song by a guy with far different vocal capabilities from himself, and I am really looking forward to the Something Wicked This Way Comes concept album.

Also if you like Owens, check out his side project Beyond Fear, its really good, but don't expect Iced Earth sounding stuff.

He's quite a good singer. He was with Priest for a while

he was able to fill the boots of metal legend Rob halford in Judas priest for a few years, so I think that speaks volumes about his vocal abilities.

I don't think the Judas Priest reunion with ROb garnered quite teh successs they hopes it would. Perhaps they shoulda kept owens and let halford continue his solo thing, which was soundign mroe liike old Priest than Priest did, in my opinion,

Didn't care for him in Priest, myself.

It doesn't really matter because nobody in Iced Earth is talented anyway. They should really pack it up and sign autographs for five bucks at Warhammer tournaments.
