Mrd00d, I can't believe you put 'Jerry' in their second tier--such a fun song and one of Les's best bass lines. My favorites are 'Groundhog's Day', 'Pudding Time', 'Jerry', 'Is it Luck?', and 'Tommy the Cat'...
4.5 tier is still 9/10, I just can't hear it all the time anymore. We all have that. I'm just glad I'm not AS worn on "My Name Is Mud", but "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver" is really a 4.5 as well due to radio 'overplay' I guess. Back when I listened to the radio. It was just how I had it in my library. No foul. I've given amazing tracks 4 stars due to overplay. I guess I also want to ensure I listen to the lesser heard, but great, tracks more often.

Haha, I'd love to have the issue of being worn out on a Primus song by hearing it on the radio too often. I think I've heard 'Wynona' on the radio in Chicago once and that was it...

Hometown heroes, they are.

I complain a lot about radio, but it wasn't until I left the Bay Area that I realized how much worse radio is everywhere else...

We got a lot of good music on Live 105 and the 2 or 3 other rock stations.

I'm from Detroit (a damned big city) and we have I think three rock stations? Classic rock, hard rock, and "alternative" rock...

Doubt you get nearly as much Primus on the radio out there though, especially when not touring/releasing albums...but they will be.

"To Defy the Laws of Tradition" is a great song. I heard the new album should be all jammy, old school psychedelic influences. Should be interesting.

Saw them play in Santa Cruz this March and heard the latest in the "Fisherman Chronicles" series, that will be on the album. At least played live, it was a good 10 minute song, but I can see a 5 or 6 minute cut. I believe its Fishermans Chronicles 4.

Did you see Les in Electric Apricot: Quest For Festeroo? Les plays drums in a faux jam band called Electric Apricot. The film is mockumentary in the style of Spinal Tap. I really enjoy their jam music, and I like Les' jamming any way I can get it.
