Claypool is one of the craziest bassists alive. You would be crazy not to love the guy.

Shame that there are only or two decent tracks on each album they do. The rest I can forget about.

They all have amazing talent but I do miss the art of songwriting sometimes.

Probably my favourite Primus track:

I love "Toys Go Winding Down", though I think the Sausage version is even better.

"Over the Electric Grapevine" is probably my favorite Primus song, though I like all the others mentioned as well. Other favorites for me would be "Dirty Drowning Man", "Professor Nutbutter's House of Treats", "De Anza Jig", "American Life" and "The Return of Sathington Wiloiughby".

De Anza Jig is really fun for me because the setting is my hometown. Like 10 minutes through town to where Les and friends hung out "at Jack in the Box, but eat at Taco Bell", all right next to the Shell down in the ol' El Sobrante, small little county town in the valley. My mom went to De Anza high school and I think Les did too, or hung out with folks that did.

Heh. That's cool. Yeah, I'm pretty sure Les and Kirk Hammett both went to De Anza High.

That's the way I feel about their last few releases, but damned near everything on Frizzle Fry, Seas of Cheese, and Pork Soda is golden to my ears.

Mrd00d, I can't believe you put 'Jerry' in their second tier--such a fun song and one of Les's best bass lines. My favorites are 'Groundhog's Day', 'Pudding Time', 'Jerry', 'Is it Luck?', and 'Tommy the Cat'...
