Late 80's early 90's for me

That's when bands like the pixies and sonic youth came up

The 90s, when Pearl Jam was bigger than Jesus.

It's all good ****, and it all shaped my taste in music, but 1990-1996 is the era I'm most into I'd say. Beck, Ween, Primus, Buckethead, Tool, Nirvana, Blur, Alice In Chains, Smashing Pumpkins, Faith No More and tons of others at the top of their games.

I think I'll have to say the 80s. That's when metal started to coalesce. Also, the 90s had some good indie rock.

1964-1974 were the best years, but others are good as well.the nineties and the fifties were great as well. The Eighties also but the eighties production (those drums with too much echo and synths) sucks

For every Madonna there's an Iron Maiden. Is that what they say? No?
