80's-mid 90's bands like megadeth and black sabbath all their solo's with the guitar i wish metal was more like that still

Probably late 60s to late 70s. That accounts for the great psychedelic music, a lot of prog rock and hard rock.

Having said that, I love the 80s for its metal and the 90s had its fair share of good bands (i.e. grunge and funk); i.e. RHCP, RATM, Faith No More, Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, Tool, Fishbone, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots...

The 60s were amazing for music, and I love the 70s too.

But 60s had the best clothes :D

Britpop isn't very good.

Examples; Elastica, Suede and Pulp. The only good thing about Elastica is they try so hard to sound like Wire one would get confused.
