The 70s had prog, punk, metal, funk, glam, country rock, southern rock, jazz fusion, that does it for me.

80's and 90's

Not even just for rock either, rap and hip-hop too.
Powerman 5000, Alice In Chains, Godsmack, Primus, (the better part of)Metallica, Aerosmith, Soundgarden Billy Idol, Black Sabbath, Queens Of The Stone Age, Korn, Nine Inch Nails, Sublime, Mary J. Blige, Cypress Hill, Butthole Surfers, System Of A Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Faith No More, Audioslave, Rage Against The Machine, Joan Jett, Pink Floyd, Run DMC, Slayer, Alien Ant Farm, Twisted Sister, ZZ Top...I could go on but I should probly STFU.
