Honestly and humility are beautiful things and so is taking your daughter to a concert even if it is New Kids.

Then you should've been honest with your daughter and told her that she listens to shitty music and busted her lip or something.

Cool RezZ

I have to say the current generation will always have the "best" most interesting music. I think this because new music is amazing to listen to. Not that older stuff isnt, but its never the same as hearing something new for the first time.

I strongly disagree.

First, I don't think the first listen is ever what you judge a song or album on, but I do recognize best in quotations so hmmmm, maybe you don't either.

Second, I find the truly great songs only get better each time you hear them as you discover more nuance and attach more memories to each song or album.

There is of course a certain thrill and anticipation unique to a first listen, but like great movies and great art it's even better when you still enjoy it even though you know what's coming.

I get what your saying, and i should have worded my answer a little better. I do not think that modern music is technically better, i just enjoy the entire process of seeking out new bands, genre's and the whole experience of new music to be very fun.

And i completely agree with taking time to like things. Some music has taken me years to appreciate and love.
