What about Scars On Broadway, Nine? Have you given them a listen? I haven't had a chance but wondering what other's thought.

Scars aren't too bad either if you like SOAD you should dig it.

Elect the dead is better of the two in my opinion though. Having said that the orchestral reworking wasn't that well recieved, haven't heard it for myself tho so will save my judgement for when I do. Wonder how Auckland symphony orchestra felt about playing Beethovens C***

They are pretty much a lot like SOAD. Serjs' solo album is much more interesting and unique.

System of a Down (also known by the acronym SOAD, or SoaD, and often shortened as System) is an Armenian-American rock band from Glendale, California, formed in 1994. It consists of Serj Tankian (lead vocals, keyboards, rhythm guitar), Daron Malakian (vocals, guitar), Shavo Odadjian (bass, background vocals) and John Dolmayan (drums). All four members are of Armenian descent, and are widely known for their outspoken views expressed in many of their songs confronting the Armenian Genocide of 1915 by the Ottoman Empire and the ongoing War on Terror by the US government.

I have an on again/off again thing with System of a Down. I'll listen to them non-stop for 2-3 weeks, then go several months without ever listening to them again

I do hope they get back together sometime soon, I'd love one more album/tour.

The entire Toxicity album I think is awesome. Its one of my favorite albums out of all cds I have. But song wise Needles, Atwa and chop suey off of that album... Otherwise B.Y.O.B which is somewhat of a hit single of theirs.
