Not a fan. Too much politics for me

They're self-titled is awesome. I respect Toxicity as their best album with the best song-writing, but I honestly find myself listening to System of a Down far more often. Sugar!

System of a Down have rejoined and will be playing some live shows, I don't think they have plans to release a new album anytime soon

the reunion better come to the states man! im so psyched about this, i mean dont get me wrong i loved Scars on Broadway and solo Serj Tankian, too bad Shavo never got to finish what he was gonna do, but to have all 4 of them masters re-form...orgasmic! it's gonna be the biggest thing in metal 2011...but on a different slightly SOAD related topic, anybody heard of the original drummers old band Apex Theory? they are pretty sweet, generally same genre of music, slightly less violent, but look into their album Topsy Turvy, i enjoyed it

/end rant

Yes!!! They're reunited for a tour!!! I'm with you killerkyle, they better come to the ****ing states, more specifically my state, and not to LA, they get too much attention.

i like all of their stuff except their last album - mesmerize. i hope they get back together and make some more albums though since they don't seem to be doing anything spectacular separately.

A reunion as in making more albums is highly unlikely.
I actually liked Mezmerize, and Serj Tan.... (however you spell it)'s solo work isn't all that bad, sounds like a heavier SOAD.

YES! I saw The Apex Theory in concert back in 2002 - when Topsy Turvy was released, I'm pretty sure. They were pretty solid live. Not very heavy, really, but interesting.

The video for Apossibly was entertaining, if I recall correctly. Or maybe I just liked it then - no idea.

Heh - anyway, saw System of a Down in concert that same day - it was Ozzfest 2002.

I love SOAD. I really hope they come to America and I get a chance to see them. But I hope it's just concerts only. As much as I like their music, I don't want them to release a new album. I feel that too many people will look at them as "that band that used to be good". Even though I would probably like the music, a lot of people would criticize it like they are already doing with Hypnotize/Mezmerize.

so, System of a Down eh

The first I heard of them was Toxicity, can't remember when or where but I know I've bought the album 3 separate times when it got stolen then lost. I love every single song of that album, its sooo goood!

Their other stuff is good as well.. I don't seem to hate their two most recent albums as much as some people, I would say its their 2nd best behind Toxicity, but people would ply get mad lol

as to their reunion, YAY! well, they said they missed playing together so what I'm hoping is that once they do again they will realize how awesome it was and get back together for good. They said it was an infinite hiatus so it's not like they actually broke up anyways.. and they always said they would get together again its just a matter of when
