Yes. It means butthole.

I'm kind of getting over Pantera. I don't know, eventually they're one of those metal bands you move on from.

I'm really bad with song names so I'll say the only album I listen to anymore is Vulgar Display of Power.

Absolutely loathe Art of Shredding. Such a try hard metal song.

Now I can listen to Pantera anytime anyplace and they always bring a smile to my face.

I guess it's just me then. *shrug*

Not at all, they're hated on these threads, they're seen as a sign of bad taste here. But I love bad taste and think Pantera as ne of the finest metal bands ever. I'm probably they're no.1 fan on MB;)

Rjinn 12-02-2012 02:41 AM

Oh I don't hate them exactly. They deserve a lot of credit for many different reasons (influence, originality, fun silly metal lyrics, etc). Just bored of 'em.

As the most of their discography you are right, but listen to, for example, "Hollow" - great lyrics.
They are my second favorite metal band of all time, and they are my main influence to do stupid and risky stuff (I will show what I'm talking about, in a few days I will post a couple of videos in The Lounge) and I hope that this won't end and they won't ever bore me. I love their hardness and heaviness and there is no band in the world that can encourage and inspire me that much (whether it's about training, or suffering some kind of pain, or just jumping from somewhere and take a risk)
And as for Damageplan, I listened to their album, but although Anselmo was a big trouble maker in the late 90s, without him it's just not working.

Nah, not just you. I'm really not a fan either. Never have been.

Nah, they bore me these days as well. Used to love them, and I still like some of their songs, but in general, I don't really care anymore.

Pantera!!!

Pantera ****ing rules. **** the haters.

Aloysius 09-15-2017 04:49 AM

I agree - if you're in just the right mood nothing else comes close.

I love VDoP and FBD minus the awful "Good Friends and a Bottle of Pills". Not so much anything after and especially anything before

smh

The Batlord 09-16-2017 03:21 PM

Oh come on. I'm not crazy about anything after either, and that is a repetitive album, but it still hits hard as a bitch. "Muthafukin Davidian!" They should have kept with that production, and not that slicker production they used when they got boring. Then at least it would have been boring but heavy.

Wpnfire 09-16-2017 04:23 PM

The only above-average Pantera songs.

Well that's why I agreed with you, I love Burn My Eyes. I was bitterly disappointed with everything else they released, so again, I agree with you.

Burn My Eyes has serious problems, but it's also insanely heavy and intense. The Blackening might have had better written songs, but this album still ****s on it with pure venom and brutality.
