NU-metal, Part of metal or not? (rap, rock, Slipknot, Korn)

Dude, there's such a thing as individual taste. Its clear that you aren't into anything Power Metal (or Iron Maiden), so I suggest you dig up some good info. to back your opinions up before saying stuff.

Well, here's the thing: why is the screaming of Corey Taylor of Slipknot any LESS metal than the screaming of Tom Araya of Slayer?

I've heard very little Nu Metal music in which the vocals bore the slightest resemblance to that of hip-hop rappers. It doesn't strike me as a real fusion genre.

I guess. Although their song Sleeping Awake kinda veered away from this aprticular . . sub genre
