Doesn't the rapping in nu-metal tend to remind you of George Michael's wonderful 'Wham-Rap'? Or New Kids on the Block?

Or is it just me?

Nu-Metal is MTV's companion

I really can't stand Nu Metal. MTV supports a lot of Nu Metal bands. A lot of nu metal bands like the following: Korn, Linkin' Park, Godsmack, Slipknot etc.. are so basic and infantile, i.e. with the playing. In 1992, MTV banned technical metal bands that actually used shredding and technical guitar solos because of how complex the playing was and only accepted cookie-cutter bands like Godsmack etc.. It simply supports the capitalist system as well with music. You noticed how ONLY NU-Metal bands sell more than Black/Death/Speed metal bands? Compare the techniques and style, Nu-Metal is for easy listeners.

I don't really listen to or respect any homo "musicians" like that. The only exceptions would be homo's that actually are talented musicians such as Judas Priest w/ Halford and Elton John.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Ive never heard someone classify Godsmack as "nu-metal".

Oh right.
I was trying to make a witty stab at bonos sexuality and overlooked that one detail :(

Yep Godsmack are. Slightly more hardrock tinged and less rap-like then the others but predominantly nu-metal in the end.

I thought that "rapping" (or attempting to do so) was one of they key factors to being nu-metal? Ive never heard Godsmack go that route.

Slipknot don't rap and they're nu-metal. Rap like vocals are a characteristic but not all nu metal acts need them to be so. Nu-metal is mainly defined by it's sound. It's hard to explain but when you listen to Linken Park and Korn and L-Biskit they have this very similar tone to their music, and a fairly pop-like song structure.
