The Iron Maiden appreciation thread

They're doing all the touring in the U.S. with Dream Theater. (Except one show)

I would have paid just to see Dream Theater so yeah, it's a two for one.

Dream Theater's songs are lengthy, I hope you do not lose all your energy by the time Maiden comes on.

Heh, I know what you mean. No way though, my first concert (I'm lame I know), one of my favorite bands, i'm pumped up.

I remember when I sawed Megadeth live, Testament and Exodus played first, I was actually worn out by the time Megadeth came on and my voice was hurting, but I pushed through, It would have helped if the place was not so hot and small.

i have almost all their discog cept for the Blaze Bayley albums

most of them are great stuff, I seem to prefer Paul DiAnno over Bruce

the most recent albums are also nothing to shout about

Don`t bother with the Blaze Bailey albums they`re even poorer than the Ripper Owens albums with Judas Priest.

A Matter of Life and Death was probably their best album since their heydays of the 1980s and a return to form.

lol I have a friend who said that Iron Maiden is gay cause Bruce sings too high, haha, I like them though, liked them for a while now. =)

Brave New World was a return to form for me. Dance of Death, while being somewhat disjointed, was a strong record too. I thought A Matter of Life and Death and Finmal Frontier were poorer records actually, although I do still enjoy them.
