He is HIGHLY under-rated.

He is talented...it's unfortunate his Solo stuff doesn't get as much play time as it should....

If it gets any at all...

yes he is a genius.

dude what kind of drugs are taking?

At any rate, I think John would be getting a lot more attention if he'd been making solo albbums long before he joined RHCP seeings how they are slowly becoming a tad bit overrated. or rather their latest albums aren't too great as everyone claims they are.

Niandra Ladies & Usually Just a T-Shirt is some amazing Frusciante solo stuff. Nice and experimental.

And I like his roots as well - Lou Reed, Frank Zappa, Can etc...

Almost as good as Mikael Akerfeldt's roots in obscure psychedelia, prog rock and death metal - and Camel.

It's weird how he is heralded as a good guitarist in the Red Hot Chili Peppers yet I never hear anyone mention his solo albums. As Seltzer said he has good influences and makes some good music.

Exclamation Red Hot Chili Peppers

How much longer do you think the Chili Peppers will continue to put out new music?

I think that there next album, (after Stadium Arcadium) ill be there last unfortanitly, since by the time next one comes out they will be nearing 50.

They're losing steam. Stadium Arcadium was very poor compared to something like Blood Sugar Sex Magik. I agree with the next one being their last. Then maybe a new greatest hits with a few B-sides or something.

I do not think Stadium Arcadium was poor compared to any of them. I personally think that yes Blood Sugar was better ONLY because i like that type of rock a little more, but the reason SA was how it was because as musicians there aging and calming down. Your not gona see them making another Around the World song. Also Frusciante said many times that the hardest album to date to play is SA.

I think Stadium Arcadium is a great album too. Yes it's not as rough around the edges, and it's more polished, but they are getting on now. they are not going to making punk funk blasts like they were 20 years ago.
