^ i've already touched on the effect 'jungle man' had on me in the past a few times on this site. suffice to say, if it weren't for that song i would not be here.

Oooooo

The Chili Peppers, I love this band. Good music. The lead singer kinda looks like a tool though.

Mother's Milk is ze best!

As for OHM, I actually think it's a very good album notwithstanding Frusciante's absence... I love Navarro's guitarwork with its psychedelic twist (the end of Deep Kick is bliss). I don't think you can really argue with the first half of the album though I can see how the second half might require a bit of adjustment but it's worth it... Walkabout is as funky as any of their older stuff, Tearjerker is great if a little sappy, the S/T track has some nice buildups as well as that beautiful breakdown part after 3:45, and Transcending is fantastic!

Just flicking through the album is making me all nostalgic - this got a lot of play back in high school.

Yeah...he is a bit of a tool, unfortunately. But I don't listen to them for his talents.

btw...you might want to remove that banner from your sig. It's not allowed to promote your band here.

Most musicians (perhaps mostly frontmen) look like tools eventually. Can't really fault them, though. They constantly have to take press photos to promote the band, and they're not always going to look natural/candid. It may look cool to one person, and look like they're trying too hard to someone else.

In the early 90s I thought he was a badass...loved his look. I certainly don't feel the same way now but also wouldn't say he's a tool any more than other well known singers.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

I think that Scar Tissue is their best song by far... And I agree, Flea is awesome.. He was my first inspiration
