It's better than Technical Ecstacy.

I heard that. However, being such a huge fan of Nirvana, I have a hard time thinking that anything they do is bad. Having said that, Moist Vagina/Marijuana, probably isn't their most accessible song.

But it does have that lumbering groove which, quite frankly, rocks.

Ace 12-20-2007 08:16 PM

You wont find a bigger fan than me. But just because I'm a fan, doesn't mean I wont say it's crap if it is.
Same with Bambi Kill.

Rainard Jalen 12-21-2007 04:34 AM

the same chord progressions have been used in tens of thousands of rock'n'roll songs. chord progressions are not patented. plus, if we're talking progressions of five or so chords, it's perfectly possible for two, three, however many artists, to come up with identical progressions independently of having heard the work of the others.

if i looked hard enough i could find numerous works of classical music written for guitar/piano that have parts based around the same progression in stairway. it's not even a particularly unique, interesting, unusual progression. it's quite musically logical and straightforward. somebody might think to do it in mere improvisational work.

Subcitizen.com 12-26-2007 01:23 PM

How about Yellow Submarine? I hate that ****.

Gates_of_Iscariot 12-26-2007 06:42 PM

jesus BY QUEEN wtf Freddie

LazyFingers 12-27-2007 03:59 PM

That's a great cover man.

How's about half of the United Abominations album by Megadeth.

LazyFingers 12-27-2007 04:04 PM

There are a few gems on it though, Sleepwalker and Never Walk Alone come to mind!

under 12-27-2007 04:08 PM

sleepwalker is a good song. but the vocals are atrocious. i like him and all but he has a sort of Rob Zombie taste to him which i like and dont like all at once. his singing gets old pretty fast.

jackhammer 12-27-2007 05:47 PM

Megadeth have made some great tracks over the years. PEACE SELLS is still a fine Thrash album.

under 12-27-2007 06:07 PM

i really love listening to A Tout Le Monde from the United Abominations album. Its an amazing song and Christina Scabbia is a perfect person to do the song with. I love it so much. I have it on my iPod so i can listen to it alllll the time lol.

under 12-27-2007 08:08 PM

and than United Abominations brought them up again.

under 12-27-2007 08:14 PM

a little bit more but yeah. but at least they brought themselves back. i saw them live a few months back and there new material live is absolutely amazing and of course they threw in Symphony of Destruction which is easily one of there greatest hits to this time and so forth and what not.

Cryptic Writings is an amazing album, as is The System Has Failed IMO.
And all their albums bar Risk have a few good tunes on them.

British_pharaoh 12-28-2007 05:05 AM

The Beatles - Piggies
Rolling Stones - Wild Horses
Beach Boys - When I grow up to be a man
Muse - Unintended

British_pharaoh 12-28-2007 05:05 AM

A good album never ceases to be one.

Yellow Submarine is only irritating from its universal popularity and overplay. If it were just another song off Revolver and heard only when that album is played, you'd think it were alright. Not great but nothing really bad either.

Agreed. Singing it in school was what really destroyed it for me.

Octopus' Garden is in the same boat, but I still like that song.

Subcitizen.com 01-07-2008 10:49 AM

Jump - Van Halen

What a bunch of damn powerhouses in that band, and that's the crud they come up with? You know they put that on the album just to get airplay. I'm sure not one of them likes that song. Although, they do play it when they tour. So, wtf!

blowitup 01-07-2008 02:57 PM

i love Ice cream man...

abstractsolo4agirl 02-05-2008 11:01 PM

Farfisa 02-11-2008 05:46 AM

St. Anger by Metallica...........absolutely atrocious

QueenNothing 02-11-2008 07:57 AM

Enter Sandman-Metallica

Its not horrible, it is just simply over-rated and overplayed.

sleepy jack 02-12-2008 03:08 PM

Well thats a countering opinion...

STUPIFIED 02-12-2008 03:29 PM

idk the song title, but my vote is the "I used to love her" song by GNR. Good God, that is grating on the ears. WTF were they thinking when they actually made that a real song?
