I have to say Its a close tie between Bleach and In utero.
IMO all of the nirvana albums were Pretty damn Awesome and I have never really lost interest but the two that really got to me were Blech and In utero

This is a tough one for me... I really love them both for different reasons. I would have to say In Utero. Besides the fact it was a great album with great songs, it was a bold move on Nirvanas part to go from such main stream (accepted) production to a more dirty/gritty production, and they did it well. So for that, In Utero wins.

I am proud to say when I was 16 I chose to rock out "Scentless Apprentice" at a talent show just because everybody under the sun was playing songs from Nevermind.

Yeah. Um...In Utero is perfectly produced, dude. Have you listened to it?

of course I have. In comparison to Nevermind the production isn't as polished (is all I meant). Normally a band does it the other way, Nirvana chose to go backwards. Kinda like Metallica did with "St.Anger" (not that drastic though). I think In Utero sounds great but when comparing the two there is a difference, whether it's perfect or not is debatable.

Perhaps I am wording this wrong actually, nothing sounds bad on the album (production wise)... the music itself is rougher in style then on Nevermind, not as neat I guess I'm trying to say.

Anyway, I dig In Utero.

I beg to disagree. The production of In Utero is WAY more sophisticated, polished and lush than that of Nevermind imo. It's like Revolver next to Rubber Soul. No comparison. Just listen to Dumb for example.

I always felt Nevermind sounded bigger then In Utero, which to me, has a more garage band sounding quality to it.

I'll really have to listen to them both again, perhaps I will hear what you hear.

Amendment: I don't hear what you hear as I gave it a listen this weekend, still think it's a bit more crude sounding then Nevermind.

I have to go with Incesticide over those two albums. I liked the rawness of this album. New Wave Polly and Molly's Lips are my top favs.

I enjoy both albums immensely, but if I had to choose between the two i'd have to go with In Utero. The sound was so raw and the lyrics were great as well. Although one could argue if the lyrical content on Nevermind was better, i'd have to say that In Utero had better lyrical depth.

Isn't better depth equal to better content?

In Utero owns Nevermind. Much better songs + Steve Albini's production= In Utero for the win.
