Why can't you put Soundgarden and Nirvana in the same subgenre? Why can't you put anyone in Nirvana's subgenre? Perhaps if you could define these genres a little more, you can put them back where they belong, and let punk rock be punk rock.
Oh, and "hair bands" is the name of a fad, not a genre. |
does it really matter what genre people put them into? if its good music, its good music. the end.

Wow
^ You have a really good point, but I think it's good to see what other peoples opinions are. But I agree with you.

Kurt Cobain is my hero!!!!I learned to play the guitar because of him!!!!!:)
|
Kurt Cobain is the God of Grundge, but I think that Dave Grohl is far more talented than he was. I mean, he's was drummer with nirvana, drummer in QOTSA, and lead guitarist/singer in Foo Fighters. PLUS he helps out Tenacious D too. What a great musician...
RIP Kurt... |
rest in peace Kurt Cobain
who really cares what genre they were THEY KICKED ASS!!!!!!! kurt was one of my major influences to pick up a guitar. long live NIRVANA |
Yeah, Nirvana were pretty good. Not as good as the legends tend to make out, but they were good nonetheless.
|
OMG, Kurt Cobain is like... wow! I agree with you 'independant loser kid' but at the end of the day good music is good music no matter what genre it falls in. But there is one thing i don't get about him, nirvana were trying to make a statement yes? and to stand out from the crowd, and then when people liked them and they became famous, kurt killed himself?! I realy don't get this, someone explain please? is it anyone else or just me being stupid?
