there is no doubt about it that nirvana is one of the best bands of all time. I think they brought back somewhat of a revival in rock music at the time. although they are not my favorite grunge band, i do have deep respect for cobain, since he was such an amazing singer, songwriter, and guitar player.
As far as my favorite song, I would have to go with smells like teen spirt. Its like the stairway to heaven of nirvana. As far as my favorite grunge band, Its Soundgarden, Chris Cornell's voice I consider beautiful. That's my two cents
