Idiot.

I know damn well that genres are used for marketing, but genres were around long before heavy metal... They go way back to classical music.

Is it just me, or does something have to be dead if it's killed?

it's not that nirvana killed music, it's the people around nirvana that blew it up that killed music. the whole "grunge" scene was just way too much, and something that would've been better appreciated had it stayed underground. it obviously became a marketing machine towards the likes of pop music in the 80's, why do you think it got so huge. you have one talented group of guys, and all of sudden everyone in the industry needs to find someone that will match that success. i can't even get through an entire nirvana album anymore without getting annoyed with it.

....to be honest, they ruined sonic youth for me.

My vote was for About a Girl

It's a sad sad moment for Elvis fans.

Yes indeed.

Good thing I'm a Nirvana fan, not a Elvis fan.

Yeah, like when he screwed up on the time he tried to play 2112, oh wait.

Idiot.

He wasn't a great guitarist, but if you can play guitar just well enough to suit your material then who gives a sh*t?

Oh my, he couldn't do atrocious, sh*tty sounding neo classical shred solos like Batio, boo f*cking hoo.
