It is Sonnet.

LOL. Is that supposed to be provocative? Anyway, your argument is flawed. Sonnet wasn't any less known than Lucky Man. Actually by being their last release before they promptly disappeared, it's more likely to be remembered than the latter if anything.

As it happens, I had totally forgot about the song Sonnet until you mentioned it now. I don't think it was one of the best Verve songs. Just overplayed radio rock. I stand by Lucky Man being their best song.

Yeah it probably is.
I love the line "I feel no disgrace with who I am"
I agree with you.
You can listen to it more often then sonnet as sonnet makes you a bit depressed and is a track you prefer now and then.
Lucky man is a song you can play in the car and noone minds as it isn't too down.
The drugs don't work always reminds me of my cat who died and I had her on all kinds of drugs from the vet but she got worse and died.
I loved that little cat. That song was at that time.
Funny the memories you associate with songs and era's.

What about Cast?
walk away is one of the best songs ever written.
I quit my job after that came on the radio one morning at Morgate station.
