Default Most pretentious band and least pretentious in the world

I'd say U2 are the most pretentious band in the world.
Great band but so pretentious.
I'd say the Ramones were the least.
What say you?

Pete Townsend is pretentious. All that internet talk about him downloading porn for book research is a misnomer. I can't find that book anywhere. Least pretentious? The Who for smashing their instruments every single show. That's rock n roll that is.

People who use pretentious in their daily music conversations are quite pretentious for thinking they know other's intentions.

Like it jackhammer!!!
Like that one. Get stuck in innit?
But I reckon townsend was unfairly treated.
He told the police he was doing it before.
And he was abused as Tommy and other work will tell you. Everyone knew he was abused as a kid even in the sixties and his songs reflect that. He informed the police before doing anything and they accepted it on inspection but that is a sorded topic that makes me upset and I will not comment on that.
Also that isn't really the issue about the band.
I agree with them been pretentious for smashing up stuff to get attention. totally agree. When I was a kid my mother said they only did it to get attention and I agree it was pretentious.
I'd put them up there.
Nothing wrong with pretentiousness.
U2 are great but I would say they were the most pretentious and some would say they don't back it up with the shows of concern.
I love the way you get stuck in and love debating with you lot.
I mean it like charity issues or religion or politics when they are doing for their own ends or they don't act out their words.
Like sting when he flies so much.

"Least pretentious? The Who for smashing their instruments every single show. That's rock n roll that is." You're not agreeing with him.
