As opposed to Megadeth selling out and doing ****ty Alice Cooper covers for hollywood movie soundtracks?

Megadeth = Rust In Peace
Metallica = Master of Puppets, Ride The Lightning, And Justice For All.

Forget the selling out crap.

I like to think of Metallica and Metallica2. Metallica was easily one of the best bands ever. Metallica2 rode on the success of the Metallica name. It isn't the same band, whenever Metallica2 plays anything from the first 5 albums, it is a cover of Metallica. I don't like to think that I enjoy music from the band that brought us such classics as The Unforgiven 2 (like the first one needed a sequel).

As far as Megadeth, I don't think they have a song in my top 100. They are a decent band I guess, I've just never been much of a fan.

To be a stickler. Megadeath don't possess the same qualities as Metallica, and vise versa.

That being said. Metallica wrote more commercially viable records. Whether they intended to or not, they reached more people with their discography. As far as I'm concerned props to them. They helped continue the metal/rock music.

Yeah I think we know who's better.

WTF? Did Crowquill just defend Metallica?

This is hard. Metallica... when they started out were awefreakinsome. They were "the" thrash metal and continued to be for about ten years. And the the Black Album came and people were like wtf? This isn't Metallica. And from then on they pretty much became disappointing. Hopefully the next album will be better.
Megadeth... Dave Mustaine is a killer guitarist, and he's been pumping out albums since he started Megadeth, almost all of which have been good to amazing.

So I guess Megadeth. Wow that was actually pretty easy.
