I AM a drummer and danny carey is the best drummer out there. I have studied him over and over, and as far as your little jazz drummers, i heard the best jazz drummer in the world Jon Cobham say that he wouldn't step foot in the drum ring with Carey. Now that's respect. Study up and find some

roflol. I'm a drummer too, and if you think Carey is the best drummer out there I feel extremely sorry for you, please explore more.

Have you got proof of this quote? And who is Jon Cobham? I know Billy Cobham, but not Jon Cobham.

No need to feel sorry, I know every drummer there is, my exploring is over I'm stickin with Carey. I had the pleasure of speaking with Terry Bozzio at one of his seminars, and I brought up Carey and nothing but praise came out of his mouth. Commenting on interdepedence, complex routines blah blah blah. just really impressed. Main thing he said was, "he's up there with us giants." For some reason Im agreeing with him over you. Great, now I'm feeling sorry for you.

As far as Billy (sorry typo, don't shoot me) Cobham, he was introducing him at a drum festival in L.A. a couple years back. And he said that as he introduced him. Probaly just a complement, but so true.

ok this is mine, i don't care what anybody else has to say, b/c these bands also influenced my life and the way i live today.

1. pink floyd
2. lynyrd skynyrd
3. kansas
4. boston
5. america
6. the yard birds
7. the jimi hendrix experience
8. cream
9. beatles
10. blue oyster cult

oh and the stones suck, ACDC has no real talent, and kiss was a good glimmer and glam rock, but their music had no real depth or meaning.
