As much as I love the metal genre...I've never actually been to a metal show...I find this just slightly embarassing...

The Chariot - If I could see one band play the moment before I slipped into the afterlife...it would be these guys. Mind blowing.

The Chariot are VERY intense on stage. awesome moves. I don't know about the afterlife thing though... but i would see them again.
