McGovery played bass in metallica pripor to the release of KEA. A drunken Dave Mustaine poured beer on his electric bass and when he plugged in he got electrocuted and left. And for the record I didn't say he quit, I was asking because someone else said it.

Maybe you should know what your tlaking about before you post. Its also amazing that you have that name and couldn't come up with the 4th bass player.

These youngin's thinking they can best me in metallica knowledge...its digusting.

I hope metallica dont even bother trying for a new album. I love the actual band, they are skillful musicians but the lead singer kills the band imo. He has some of the worst vocals i've ever heard, Ruined the music to enter sandman and all the other metallica "greats". It's sad really that he became the singer. But its only my musical taste and opinion so i hope those who like metallica dont spit the dummy, just an opinion.

St. Anger wasn't what you would call classica mettalica, but that was what we had asked for. we all wanted for mettalica to "return to their old days of aggressive metal" they did, and now seemingly everyone hates them for it. they only gave exactly what we had asked for. i dont know anything about Lars leaving the band, but i do know that Rob is better as mettalica basist than Newstead was.

Even if you're not into them, which I am, no one can deny that a band thats been around for as long as them cannot be s**t. If they where s**t they wouldn't still be around now. You don't sell as many albums as they have on past history, they sell because they can still cut it

I wish metallica would go back to their good old days, cause albums like enter the sandman and mastor of puppets were class, whereas albums such as st anger just aren't the same.
