I used to be a HUGE Metallica fanboy. But I played them out waaaay too much, and my brother still listens to them/talks about them constantly. So I've gotten sick of them. Pretty much the only time I listen to them on purpose any more is if it comes on shuffle and I'm too lazy to skip, or if my brother is choosing music.

Metallica.com | News | Secret Recording Project?

So. Metallica and Lou Reed. A whole flipping album. Thoughts?

Personally, I'm very interested to see how this turns out, despite my previous comment in this thread. I don't necessarily think it will be a great album, but maybe working with a genius will help the band get out of their slump and start writing good music again.

It's very hard for me to image their styles melding well but it's certainly interesting that it's happening. I'll definitely be curious to hear what it ends up sounding like.

Now this is going to be interesting. I'm guessing this is either going to be a stroke of genius or a bloated egotistical mess. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
