Thanks for the recommendations guys! I've heard most of that misc. rock posted. Love me some Pavement and Faith No More! Still need to check out Slint though.

I think I'm going to get some Stones and Who first though. Or Doors.

Slint is a great band. "Spiderland" is in my top 10 albums of the 90's. It is a great album, their first album "Tweez" was alright, nowhere near the level of "Spiderland", but still a decent debut (and produced by Steve Albini). A few members from Slint were in the band Squirrel Bait before as well, who were a great band.

If you like Slint, should check out the band June of 44 as well, they have a lot of similarities to them. June of 44 was basically a supergroup, made up of members from Rodan, Hoover, Rex and Lungfish... think also connection to Codeine.

This song I have posted, but would fit right in on Slint's "Spiderland"

My collection is getting extremely dry, and I need some more Metal! I've been trying to find new bands, but I have very little success in finding ones that I like. I am looking something fast, thrash metal is fast, but the bands I tried out I did not like (Accept, Overkill, and some others) the vocals threw me the **** off. I just want metal that's fast, any type is good Power, Death, Black (as long as the vocals aren't as filthy as Obituary or Emperor). Some bands I like right now...Testament, Athiest, Machine Head, Slayer, In Flames (early stuff)...so all recomendations welcome.

Morbid Saint had me headbanging within the first couple of seconds, Sadus was great as well, hope the quality is just because of Youtube and not the quality of the albums, Necrophobic was brutal as ****, without the growls being too over the top. I don know Possesed, they're good, but I can't get into them. Keep the recs. coming if you wouldn't mind (that goes for everyone) : )
