Next time I see an insult you get an an infraction, do it again another infraction, do it again you're banned.

gottaSCREM 01-06-2007 09:24 PM

What about Candlebox self titled that came out in 1995 that was ok, nothing great but descent.

Sparky 01-06-2007 09:29 PM

grunge has been dead for nearly 10 years..move on.

Music needs to evolve-though i don't think this latest batch of "emo" is the greatest, it'll get better.

Prolonging something that just isn't there is pathetic, its 2007 you can listen to it, and enjoy it-but if classic rock from the 60's and 70's had never evolved they're wouldn't have been grunge in the first place

Urban Hat€monger ? 01-06-2007 09:34 PM

Did you seriously spell "sentence" wrong while insulting someone else's spelling? Lame.

gottaSCREM 01-06-2007 09:50 PM

Shut up. No one asked your opinion on my grammer:mad:

Insulting spelling and grammar is lame you guys. Stick to the real arguments.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 01-06-2007 09:52 PM

Hypocrite. Oh yeah... grunge is terrible. When I have to play Heart-Shaped Box on Guitar Hero, I turn the volume all the way down.

No, I was pointing out that you had no room to insult his spelling abilities. And grunge is not terrible. It changed the world of rock and roll forever. The state of rock and roll in the late 80's and early 90's was all hair-metal and glam rock, and along came Nirvana (and I use them because they were the most popular grunge band) and knocked the rock world on its ass, and the style/genre/world of rock and roll has never been the same since.

Sorry nope, Hair metal / glam rock was on it`s way out as much as 2 years before Nirvana came along.

Between 1989 & 1991 the focus moved away from hair metal and on to bands like The Chili Peppers , Faith No More , REM , Janes Addiction and all that lot.

Grunge didn`t kill hair metal it died from over exposure, Grunge mearly kicked the corpse while it was down. You don`t see people claiming emo killed grunge in the past few years , because it didn`t.

gottaSCREM 01-06-2007 10:05 PM

Grunge is 90's form of emo.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 01-06-2007 10:06 PM

More like grunge and emo have nothing in common.

While those bands may have been the future of new rock and roll, none of them had the almost immediate impact that Nirvana did on the US after they finally released a record on a major label.

Im not saying they were important because of how quickly they rose to fame, but the impact they had on the world of music is only comparable to that of the Beatles finally reaching the US market. But Nirvana is by far the best grunge, and arguably the best rock band of all time.

tdoc210 01-06-2007 10:17 PM

gottaSCREM 01-06-2007 10:19 PM

Than get off the computer and use it instead of telling people who don't care about what you have or don't have.:whythis:

sleepy jack 01-06-2007 10:19 PM

Okay, the penis thing is getting old. Only levi could pull it off well. Back to whatever was being discussed.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 01-06-2007 10:20 PM

If grunge really isn't dead, it should be shot in the face.

gottaSCREM 01-06-2007 10:20 PM

Agree. Any Green River fans.
