I've got Korn, Deftones, Limp Bizkit and Slipknot albums in my cd collection.

Fixed. (For capitalization and punctuation as well.)

I've actually come to quite enjoy the Deftones as of late. It's amazing to see how influential they were on later bands in alt rock/metal. For instance, I'm convinced every 30 Seconds to Mars single is a rip off of the song "Digital Bath."

I don't think System Of A Down is really Nu Metal at all, nu metal requires hip hop elements, and they don't really have that. They're more just alternative metal, kind of like Deftones.

Disturbed, Limp Bizkit, Korn, LP and Slipknot is nu metal, and most of it's pretty weak. I don't really like the ones that use melodic vocals, like how Slipknot and Linkin Park always mix screaming with singing, it's really irritating.

I used to love LP's Hybrid Theory, but every time I listen to it, I just realize how much is sucks, and now I can't even listen to it at all.

I kind of liked Fear Factory before they started doing that **** with Gary Numan, and started using a drum machine. I kind of liked Korn's first album, because the bass playing sounds awesome in that album for some reason, and the albums after that were mostly made to sell records.

System of a Down and the Deftones are in a different league to the other bands you've listed. Some time ago on here, I said System of a Down weren't Nu-metal but simply alternative metal as well.

Ahh, gotcha, I like System of a Down a lot.

And Faith No More isn't even close to nu metal. Funky alternative metal, yeah, but definitely not nu metal.

Never liked Faith No More much, but they certainly weren't Nu-Metal.

I got a soft spot for NU-Metal since it was my childhood/teen music growing up...so im Bias :P but like yall said they guyz who made NU metal in 96-02 where kids growing up in the 85-93 so they were pretty much the kids of the late 80's early 90's ..and thats when NU metal IMO was brewing even in 1990 ..with **** like

Senser, Green Jelly, Tool, Helmet, Jesus lizards, House of pain, Anthrax, Urban dance squad,RHCP,Faith no more ..and many others.. then KORN&Deftones came and pretty much blew the lid off it
