I think Underoath's Act of Depression album is the only good one... For some reason almost every Underoath fan I've met hates it. I saw them once live and thought they sucked, but then, they never play AoD songs anymore obviously. The Christianity aspect is really a non-issue with me... I rarely pay attention to the lyrics in these bands in any case, usually because you can't understand them and they rarely have any creative value IMO. That said, Destroy The Runner is pretty excellent with their clean lyrics and melodic lines. They are somewhat of a guilty pleasure with me. No real breakdowns in their music either.

Kind of a pointless post but whatever.

I almost agree with everything you just posted there. Destroy the Runner is one of my favorites right now, I listen to both their albums frequently. I really liked how much they grew between Saints and I, Lucifer, I think they are going to go some places.

I don't quite agree with the statement that hardcore/metal bands lyrics don't have any creative value. If you take the time to listen to the song and concentrate on understanding the lyrics primarily, they're not hard to understand. The lyrics, especially those written by "Christian" bands, I usually find to be the most creative with their wording.

So I am like, really into As I Lay Dying. Ever since I heard the breakdown in I Never Wanted. I'm hooked on them now. Nothing Left is an amazing song.

Christian metalcore is good for the lulz, but I never really understood the musical appeal.

BREE BREE JESUS WILL SAVE YOU
WHAT WOULD JEESUS DO BREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

On a related note, I would like to start a band called BREESUS, anyone want to join?

As i lay dying are good. They need more clean vocals in their songs though.

An ocean between us is great.
