Well we're fucked...Faith No More's reunion tour officially ends December 5th in Chile, WITHOUT A FUCKING US TOUR!!! What the fuck, assholes? I was SOOOOOOO looking forward to this. The only remaining US date is Hollywood Palladium on November 30th. Aside from that, in the US they've only done 3 dates in San Francisco, Coachella, and 3 East Coast dates. Way to love the fans in your own country, assholes! Had I known that's all they were doing for the US, I would have made an effort to catch one of the San Francisco dates. But I really have no desire to visit LA, especially mid-week.

FUCK!!!

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

They'll do more shows when they run out of money. We'll just have to wait.

it took them 10 years to run out of money the first time and they're already middle aged at this point. waiting is not something i'm cool with.

i'm totally with Sidewinder on this one. that's a pretty huge slap in the face to the people in their own backyard.

I've already seen them...twice

In all seriousness though, there are a ton of reasons why many bands (whether reformed or not) don't play more shows in their homeland and it's not always money. Lack of promoters, decent venues available at the right time, record company apathy etc.

Killing Joke tour every couple of years, play 2 dates here and then play many more in the U.S and yes the U.S is obviously larger but their main fanbase is here but it never works out well for us.

Archive are a U.K band but you can't buy their albums here and they rarely tour here either.

The big 4 Thrash fest in the summer was everywhere over Europe but didn't happen in the U.K despite a huge fanbase for the bands.

I agree, thats the kind of attitude I think Mike Patton ^ presents as an artist, at vocals and on stage.
Sounds suspicious to me..

i wouldn't quite say that, the impression i get is that he's most definitely uncompromising in both achieving and getting people to recognize his vision, but i really don't think he's disrespectful to those who are willing to at least consider his perspective. he just doesn't have patience for superficial stupidity.

think about it, how many people going to see FNM in north america would be people who've been waiting and hoping for this chance since 1997 and how many of them are trendy hipsters who were still figuring out how to not poop their pants anymore in 1997 and who just want to be seen at a seminal band's reunion show. but maybe i'm the pretentious old douchebag in this charade.

Dave, I love a good ol' hipster bashin' as much as the next guy but that's really not fair to my generation. We weren't old enough when they first came onto the scene, so now we shouldn't have the opportunity to see them together again, even if I truly enjoy the music?

I probably shouldn't go see Primus either then...

I really don't see FNM as a band hipsters would really be into, but I could be wrong. That said, I don't know who would be going to see them aside from others like me who have been waiting/hoping since the break-up to have a chance to see them...and whose dreams are now crushed!

that's why i called myself a pretentious old douchebag at the end

you're also obviously not a hipster plus Primus is still active and if not releasing new material, reworking old stuff to keep it fresh.

compare the clips from the FNM's final tour in '97 and some of the reunion clips from earlier this year. what changed besides the clothes and hairlines? i could easily see enough of an 'underground' buzz about the 'need' to see a seminal band like FNM act as a beacon for hipsters.

that or it might just be expensive as hell to organize a north american reunion tour for a band that only really scored about 3 hits throughout their initial run.
