Default Best Band for the Buck

Given the state of the economy, I thought this might be a good question: what was the best deal you've gotten on a music purchase (excluding giveaways and downloads)? I don't mean just the lowest price, but the price to quality ratio, so to speak.

Earlier this year I bought all of the Doors CDs (I already had the vinyls but wanted to rip them to my PC.) from Amazon.com for just 1 cent each, plus $2.98 shipping and handling each.

If you're going to pay one cent for an album, why the hell not just download it for free?

I got a Coheed and Cambria CD for five dollars at Bamboozle. I thought it would be an old EP with 5 tracks or something... It's a 13-track album. [=

Can pick up most of the classic reggae/jazz albums for 40 rand (Equivalent of like 2-3 pounds and 5 dollars) which is a score, when most albums are about 150 rand ( 10-12 pounds)

Examples :

Miles Davis
Peter Tosh
Steel Pulse
Thelonius Monk
Charles Mingus
Loius Armstrong
Gregory Isaacs
ect...

Free music that is good is pretty brilliant value for money if you ask me.

I spent over 100 dollars on ITunes this week alone. But sometimes I do the torrent thing.

Nice! I wish I had that much money to spend on music...

I usually go out and buy the actual CD. I like to have something tangible. I'm old school.

Is it true that the price of iTunes songs went up?
