Windir is one of the greatest bands ever. Arntor is the most beautiful album around.

Also, Drudkh, Summoning, Arcane Necrosis, Immortal and Kampfar are decent too.

they're probably not black metal - like I said I don't know much about it - but they're definitely associated with the genre. Great band though.

i was never really a big fan of Black Metal per-se just cause i was never really into the whole satanic imagery/lyrics, but I did enjoy Satyricon, but only really one or two songs by them so,not much help but like i said its not my favorite style, i much perfer just metal or thrash and even nu-metal over it

I'm still hung up on all the **** that Mayhem was involved in one way or another. Running around on stage spouting christian blasphemy and wearing corpsepaint is one thing, but murdering band mates? Not cool.
