i'm not really disagreeing with this statement. then again i can't really think of another rock album that came out this year that i felt compelled to get either though.

I checked out a couple of tracks today and live, they sounded damn good but when I heard a couple of album tracks I was very disappointed. I know that a lot of bands sound better live but many sound worse and it seems like a case of a band that should be seen live rather than in the studio.

Saying that they still didn't blow me away I have to say.

listened to it a few times threw and thought it was a sweet album. definitly a different rock sound.

Caligulove is probly my favorite atm. gunman, scumbag blues and spinning in the daffodils are also sweet tunes.

Default Roxy show Photo Gallery

I wish I had brought my camera to the Roxy show, the only ones I have are the ones on my phone :/ I searched for "Roxy photos" but no results came up so I figure it's safe to create a new thread of Roxy photos, but moderators if you need to feel free to move this thread.

Anyways, just wanted to share one of the photo galleries I found from the Roxy show. There's also a lengthy show review but plenty of those have been posted so I figure you would all just prefer to see the pictures. F**king amazing show ey? Enjoy...

I've brought the album but I haven't listened to it from start to finish yet. I'm halfway through the first track right now as I'm typing this and it sounds great. Very much QOTSA and Homme all over this one so far... which is fine by me, hope the rest of the album is just as promising.

After many, many listens I would have to give this just 3.5 outta 5. Some of the songs just kinda went nowhere. I suppose It's Homme's singing style that bothers me the most. His lyrics are great and he plays the **** outta his guitar. Alot of his melodies were on point, but alot just bored me.

JPJ played a great bass, and I loved his other instruments, especially his piano/keyboard work, and Ghrol was a great as ever behind the skins. It just doens't seem like a record I would listen to over and over again. Dead End Frirends is one of all-time favoties and I love No One Loves Me..., Elephantns, New Fang ang Spinning in Daffodills but the album should have been cut a little shorter.

Agreed, after listening to it from start to finish I'd have to say that the album is way too long for it's own good. Sometimes it's gold and other times it sounds like it's plodding along.
