I dont think any of those are bad, in the post above that is, not the first one.

Prostitute Disfigurement is a pretty stupid name, as is Dying Fetus which has already been mentioned.

EDIT: Oh and of course Pile of Maggot Infested Viscera, Fukpig, Grinded Nig, Cuntscrape, Raped God 666 and Bestially Raped Till Dismembered are all truly classic metal names.

Having your band name deal with topics you would expect a death metal band to deal with is one thing, all the names i have just mentioned are bands that really need to develop an imagination.

Really? I thought they were terrible and cliche. But I guess you could pretty much say that about anybody who tries to force themselves into that heavy metal niche, it all seems a bit silly to me.

As does the names mentioned in the OP. Dude I could probably make up a name like that and it be a real band somewhere. Let me try it...

Yeah and thats kind of a stupid name but i've never really been bothered by it when compared to a lot of other metal bands.

A lot of the others you mentioned could be classed as either of those two things as well really.

I guess whenever i think of ridiculous metal band names its usually a fairly awful attempt at something aggressive, outrageous, horrific or offensive.

Well I'm just horridly ignorant of that kind of music. The only thing that comes close I suppose are a few black metal bands but all of those have Swedish names... :)

When you think about it, most band names are really stupid. xD

Some of them work i think, especially for death metal. A band should really select a name that best suits their sound but some bands just take it too far.

Easily. Take a database filled with nasty words, some verging on the potentially offensive when coupled with one of these words and randomnly throw two of them together.

If i were a betting man i would say that at least one of those generated names is actually the name of a real band somewhere.

The sad thing is that your probably right. But seriously, if I was in a metal band (which is NOT something that would ever appeal to me :p:) I'd at least try to come up with a good name. Metal is probably the genre with the worst band names. That and indie with their long-ass names.
