Default 1982 The Wall is it original?

Curious to know if Pink Floyd's 'The Wall' movie from 1982 , is the soundtrack 'note to note' identical to the album from 1979, or was it remixed or remastered or redone for the Movie soundtrack?.. Did Roger Waters and Pink Floyd re-record their masterpiece 1979 The Wall for the 1982 Movie?
I know that 'When Tigers are Free' was submitted to the soundtrack, but what about the movie souindtrack music in general, was it just taken from the masters??

Yeah, tell any record exec, especially in 1982, that your going to re-record a 25 song album for a movie and they'll cry bullshit faster than you can think. I'm sure that all of the music for the film came from the album's original masters. There may have been some ambient scene music added, but I don't think they tampered with the album.

There are certain things that were re-recorded or remixed for the movie but not too much. There are a couple of songs that are sung by Bob Geldof instead of Roger Waters (I believe "Empty Spaces" is one) for example. Also the version of "Mother" that's in the movie is pretty different from the album version, though for all know it could just be an alternate take from the original recording sessions.

Some of the versions are actually better than the album versions or maybe it's because seeing images with the songs that makes them seem that way. I have virtually all that you can get for Floyd re:outakes, alternative versions etc but I would love to get hold of a version of the album soundtrack but it's never been released.

The Trial is even greater when watching the movie, and so is One Of My Turns.
Hey You also has a very powerful scene in the movie, if i recall correctly...

I actually have a bootleg of it that I've had for ages but for some unknown reason I've never been able to convert it to mp3s without having this weird digital static throughout every track.
