I don't even know what the last two are. Are those bands or albums?

Classic Rock isn't really my thing. I'm sure I'll hear them before I die...

Some recommendations;

Counting Crows - August And Everything After

The White Stripes - White Blood Cells

The Cure - Disintegration

The Pixies - Doolittle

Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run

All of these are fairly accessible. You've probably even heard a lot of songs from those albums without knowing it already...

I'll give you a band, album, and recommend two tracks for you from each one.
Some of these have probably already been mentioned but...

AC/DC - Back In Black - "You Shook Me All Night Long" and "Shoot To Thrill"

Black Sabbath - Paranoid - "Paranoid" and "Electric Funeral"

Guns N' Roses - Appetite For Destruction - "Nightrain" and "Paradise City"

Korn - Untouchables - "Thoughtless" and "Here To Stay"

Godsmack - Faceless - "I ****ing Hate You" and "Make Me Believe"

That'll give you a pretty wide variety to start from, without getting into the real heavy stuff. Good luck!

Superunknown - Soundgarden
Ten - Pearl Jam
Led Zeppelin I - Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin II - Led Zeppelin
Rage Against The Machine - Rage Against The Machine

Can't really go wrong here.

Good choices....but Godsmack!!! The idea is to impress the listener and not put him off with mediocrity.

I thought he'd like them cause he said he liked Three Days Grace and Seether.
Also, Godsmack may suck overall, but Faceless is a very good album.

I actually prefer Superunknown to Badmotorfinger but Badmotorfinger is more acessible.

Good call on Ten one of the most polished rock albums of early 90`s

Badmotorfinger is a bit more raw sounding, and has the more ridiculous screams and such. I dunno, I'd say Superunknown is easier to get into.
