I voted for Metallica, because they have classics like Blackened and One.

And Anthrax is so underrated.

My favorites of the Big Four, in order:

Metallica
Anthrax
Slayer
Megadeth <---Still love Megadeth to death though. No pun intended.

I voted for Megadeth due to the fact that they have stuck to their guns as a thrash band and released more material than any of the other three bands. With the exception of maybe the "Risk" album Megadeth have never veered to far from being the thrash masters that they set out to be. I still love Anthrax and Metallica, and to some degree, Slayer but I have to give credit where credit is due and Megadeth wins my vote hands down.

Uh... Are you forgetting Youthanasia, and Countdown to Extinction both of which significantly slowed down the speed from 'Rust in Peace', and included pop elements.

I voted for Slayer because in terms of "Thrash" they were the most definitive of the four. They are also the only one that really truthfully played and continue to play thrash metal.

My favorite of the four would be Metallical however, because later material aside, their first four albums were groundbreaking.

and plus they were one of the first metal bands I listened to back in grade school.

Somebody blocked me on facebook the other day cause I simply told them that Anthrax is the worst of the Big 4, haha. Anthrax fans, how they amuse me.

Metallica get my vote. Can't decide what order except that Slayer are definitely at the bottom.

Slowly but surely, Megadeth have been creeping up on the poll, and now they've finally overtaken Slayer.
