According to a credible survey, Kiwis only have an IQ average two points higher than Aussies (100). So if 95% of aussies are "as dense as hell," and assuming "as dense as hell" means your IQ is 98 on average, that would mean that roughly 92.9% of kiwis also fit that criteria.

I've actually had proper testing (thrice), i.e not done on stupid sites. It's in the range 145-150. I nail the spatial and mathematical type questions. It's mostly a crock of **** because no one can even clearly define what "intelligence" is but there aren't really other valid tests so I guess it's a decent indicator of "intelligence."

I recently had to write an essay tearing IQ tests apart and it wasn't hard (3000 words).

You're really no smarter than I. I had an IQ test when I applied for the army (didn't get in because of my crap hearing) and it turned up a 147.

I too am good at the spatial and mathematical questions.

Im not, because that never f*cking happened... If you are who you say you are, you would try to learn and respect others views, second you need to stop pretending like you're the grammar king when you have been known to misspell words and overuse obnoxious abbreviations like rofl and lol.

Opinions cannot be valid because they can't be measured,
Sure they can, otherwise you're saying any dumb redneck has as valid a opinion as one of americas founding fathers or someone who has won the nobel peace prize.

Quote:
and unlike you I never said my opinions were "better" than anyone else's (or post like they are).
Bull****, you go on about how you are smarter and more educated than everyone on music banter all the time, the fact that you brag about it so much is why no one believes you.

Quote:
Of course I didn't say that because that's just nonsensical. I believe everyone's opinions are equal, however my musical knowledge far surpasses yours.
Sure it does.

Quote:
So you like to measure opinions (lol) and I like to measure stuff that's actually quantifiable, i.e knowledge, argument skills, grammar and spelling ability, etc. Oh wow, no wonder you've been pwning me this whole time every time you bring up how much “better” your opinions are...
Coming from the guy who says LaBrie has a 4 octave range and said my figures on Mercury, Buckleys and Tates octave ranges were wrong without even trying to explain why or prove me wrong.

The fact is, you never ever try to back up your statements, or explain why Rudess is the most skilled keyboardist or why Petrucci is the best guitarist in rock, you just say "im educated" and label it as making your opinion valid, you dont make examples or points, you just spew whatever crap you make up in your head.

If you are a music grad, you havent proved it, and you can say its not worth it trying to prove to me, but dont worry about me, how about everyone else here?... Because they all think you're a moron and a liar, you keep boasting about how ****ing much you know about theory, then try proving it, instead of just saying **** without backing it up.

Quote:
I could have sworn I reviewed more than DT albums, in fact, I've only ever officially reviewed one DT album. I mostly review underground prog acts.
So you havent done that many reviews?

And i thought you hated prog.

Quote:
If I need to learn about ethics then I'd hate to think what that means for you. Your hatred for me was primarily first based on that fact that you didn't agree with my opinions. Then it escalated to you finding out that I have more knowledge than you in music and your arrogance just couldn't handle it.
Too bad you never proved it, and your idiotic statements make it appear that you are indeed lying.

so stop the charades. Don't pretend like you know me;
Hypocrite.

First thing you did when you came to this site was jump to conclusions about me, simply because i said i consider TMV progressive and not DT, you decided that was good enough reason to say i know nothing about music and that you know more about something that i actualy give a **** about...Which is progressive rock.

Quote:
most of the time I was being sarcastic and you thought I was serious and the way you talk to me is appalling. At least I like to satire everything by typing "lol," but you take it too far with your constant immatures and sense of “I'm the best, you're the worst, I'm right, you're wrong, you're opinions such, mine rule, I know everything there is to know about music, you're a moron, etc." I wonder if you'll ever wake up to the truth...oh that's right, you're just playing along. Well please stop.
You call me smug, and you have some of the most self gratifying comments i have ever seen, often times in the same sentences when you call me egotistical.

Quote:
To MB posters: tell me who you prefer out of these two people:

A – I like x
B – x suck. The history of x is such and such. The importance of this is such and such. The influence of this is such and such. Therefore it's fact that x suck.
A – uh, yeah. I don't care, I like them because of y,w and z and here are examples backing that up.
B – y,w and z are wrong because I said so.
A – rofl noob [obvious satire when A has realised that B isn't actually arguing anything but his opinions].
B – stop saying rofl it is so obnoxious [B is unaware of satire, making A even more aware how much of a moron he really is]
A - rofl.
B – I know everything about prog
A – I'm a part-time reviewer for a magazine and a site and a musical/law graduate and am studying maths.
B – NO ONE CARES!!! being a reviewer means nothing and so what if you have a degree, it doesn't make you anything! I've been playing the keyboard for AGES!

etc.
I dont know everything about prog, i think you mistook that for something YOU said.

"You're soooooooo dumb"

"rofllololol"

"Your mommy dropped you on your head as a baby?... How sad, lol"

"You woose"

"WRONG"

"I know you are joking, lol"

"Whos the music grad here?... lol"

Here we go again.

Never said it did, but it seemed like it.

Show me ONE quote where I haven't respected someone's opinion.

Quote:

Never recall saying that I was a grammar king, just that it's better than yours. I think I've said this about six times already but here goes again: spelling has NOTHING to do with grammar. And I've never misspelled a word, perhaps I've made a few typos here or there. If I went through all your grammatical and spelling errors...let's just say I won't because that'd be too easy and embarrassing.

Quote:

I disagree. "Dumb" isn't well defined and your status and winning the Nobel prize doesn't necessarily mean you have a more valid opinion than the next person, it just means that they're relatively knowledgeable.

Quote:
Bull****, you go on about how you are smarter and more educated than everyone on music banter all the time, the fact that you brag about it so much is why no one believes you.
I think everyone bar you knows about my sarcasm by now. And all the time? I don't be sarcastic that often in regards to that. I also noticed you like generalising a lot, speaking on everyone's behalf; "no one."

Quote:
Sure it does.
See, there you go again! How many times must I compare our musical knowledge?? I'm a musical graduate, I compose, I play many instruments (drums, keyboard, trumpet, sax, etc), and even if you knew every rock band in the world and the entire history of music and whatnot, this means nothing compared with actual theory.

Quote:
Coming from the guy who says LaBrie has a 4 octave range and said my figures on Mercury, Buckleys and Tates octave ranges were wrong without even trying to explain why or prove me wrong.
lol, you remind me of a friend of mine who couldn't be convinced that 0.9 recurring is exactly equal to 1. *waits for DontRunMeOver's disagreement* LaBrie's range IS approximately 4 octaves, and you WERE slightly wrong with SOME of your figures, some I wasn't sure and some I never argued about (e.g Buckley, Mercury). I have the music sheets with me, why should I tell you such and such sings such and such note when you'll probably just say “you're lying” like you often do?

Quote:

Rudess being the most skilled keyboardist in rock is a strong belief of mine from studying many many many keyboardists. It is irrelevant for me to say why I think he's the best to someone like you who dismissed my opinion immediately. I said he was the best, you called me an idiot and named some others. That's where the argument was, it wasn't whether If I could tell you why I think he's the best because that's irrelevant; you already dismissed my opinion and called me a moron, there is obviuosly no good reason why I should elaborate on points to people like you. If someone made a thread saying who do you reckon is the best keyboardist in rock and why? Then I'd give a lengthy response if I felt like it.

I don't give examples??? I always list several tracks to help with my points.

Moving on, I never said Pertuci was the best guitarist in rock, I hate when you falsify my statements. I'd probably go with Vai, or Mäenpää.

No boo-bear, I'm sure they don't all think I'm a moron and a liar (again with the immature generalising). When an interesting thread comes up about theory I'll have a go. Which is what I did recently with DontRunMeOver's thread. Again, I never once seriously boasted, I merely listed my credentials when you insulted my intelligence. Aren't I allowed to defend myself from incorrect accusations without actually proving it? I don't see a point in proving anything to people who insult me. I know in your mind you feel it's necessary, but unlike you, I'm not arrogant. Jesus, if I was arrogant I'd make a thread listing all my achievements (I hadn't even discussed my novel writing until recently) and upload my 70+ compositions and tell you all how good they are. I'd post all my professional reviews and show you all the mag and site I work at and how much I pwn. I'd probably even post a picture of me because of how good looking I am, etc. Even when I'm not trying to be sarcastic it happens, damn.

Quote:

And i thought you hated prog.
mmm, I mostly review prog-metal artists, but I write some negative prog reviews. Correct, I haven't done that many - it's in the teens I believe.

Quote:

Prove what? The evidence is right there, I don't need to sift through where we first started fighting do I? I think you know it's the truth.

That argument was half a joke around and half serious. The serious aspect of it was my hate for TMV and that is all. I don't remember jumping to conclusions about you...

Quote:

Thanks, it was meant to be funny if I did that, but I didn't. As for my "self gratifying" comments, I'm starting to think sarcasm isn't in your vocabulary.

Quote:

I like how you ignore the rest though, haha. Well you didn't explicitly say it but you said something like "I know more about prog than you...why? Because I'm Dr. prog dammnit." That, for me, translates into “I know everything about prog” in a sort of condescending way, certainly not a literal way. My little scenario wasn't of course entirely literal.

"Whos the music grad here?... lol"
Alright, now i'm 99% sure this is all a joke.

I mean c'mon! "Your mommy dropped you on your head as a baby?... How sad, lol."

??????

Maybe you have dreams where you DO actually pwn me. I never said anything like that or any of the others on your list (besides “roflol”). I've said 'wrong' though, what a crime. It's hard to come up with a word besides wrong when I'm talking to you most of the time though. When you've been wrong I do sometimes try and explain why you're wrong, but then you just insult me so I don't refer you to links or whatever, it's more fun when you look it up for yourself and then go silent which has happened several times.

And also, you said:

"Like if i actually factually proved you wrong at something, which i have done more times than i can f*cking count"

You know you have never factually proved me wrong, so I couldn't help but lol at this for real. I haven't actually been wrong on this forum. I made a mistake in one of my reviews but that was in the DT forum. Go on booey, you tell me to prove things, so how about you show me just one example where you've so called "factually" proved me wrong. This oughta be a laugh. It's not like you don't know that in fact you're the one that uses cheap tactics to seem like you're pwning me. e.g: when you keep putting words in my mouth (like above and saying I mixed up time signatures, etc) and with all your lame laughing emoticons, with capitalising, with almost constant generalising. I could go on.

PS: for next time, it's 'an' argument, not 'a' argument.
