A lot of people I've known to completely discount any of Queen's artistic merit are people who haven't heard more than just the hits, and think "Bohemian Rhapsody" are as experimental as the band's sound got.

While I don't necessarily agree with "The Invisible Man" as having one of the greatest solos of all time (if you want a weird one by Queen I find underrated, check out "Scandal") but it doesn't really get the credit it deserves either.

In my opinion, I suppose.

Totally agree. Though, I do believe Freddy Mercury gets the credit he deserves by pop culture.

Whereas on the other hand Brian May does not. He was and is one of my favorite guitarists. Also I saw him on the Cream reuinion DVD rocking out, so he gained even more respect from me for that.

Being humble, and digging other peoples music plays a big factor into whether or not I can respect/like you as an artist.

I saw Brian May play nine rows away from me. Paid something like $150 for the ticket, then money to get to and from Cleveland (5+ hours) and a hotel in the city.

Definitely worth it. Brian May is legitimately one of my idols. Lyrically, he was actually superior to Freddie Mercury - in my opinion, anyway - but so few of his songs were released by the band as singles, no one seems to care.

Poor Bri.

I love the solo in We Will Rock You.

Jimmy Page's Heartbreaker solo is godly.

Hell, my top 100 solos = Page.

İ totally agree. Queen was a magnificant band and their solos were so succesful. Almost like a march
