I love Crusher/Destroyer, March Of The Fire Ants and Ol'e Nessie, but the rest seems far too dissonant and directionless.

I`ve given it a number of listens and never quite got it. I actually don`t think there is too much to get either, and I think its extremely overrated. I think the drumming though is exceptional but I certainly agree with your directionless point about the album.
