Vote goes to self titled. Next to Paranoid it's my favorite of the Ozzy albums. So dark and heavy.

Black Sabbath - 1
Sabotage- 0

Black Sabbath - 2
Sabotage - 0

Black Sabbath is the genesis of all that is doom. Apart from a few highlights, Sabotage is bogged down by filler.

No contest whatsoever. The self-titled album is one of the best albums of all-time, a great mix of what would be metal, hard rock and even some blues. The title track alone is enough for me to vote it. "Symptom of the Universe" is one of my favorite Sabbath tracks, but that album as a whole is not the best at all.

Self-Titled and Master of Reality are about tied for my favorite Sabbath albums, I have a feeling those 2 will be matched up eventually and that will be a more difficult battle.

The self titled has to beat Paranoid to achieve that, often considered their best album.

The self-titled is an amazing album and a favourite of mine. The title track and Behind The Wall of Sleep are amazing songs.

true true. will be interesting. Personally I prefer self titled over Paranoid. But I usually wind up feeling alone on that one.

I'm personally hoping for Vol. 4 to get some praise here. I don't think it will win but I hope it gets far.

I was expecting Sabotage to get some votes here. I know its nowhere near as solid as their previous 5 albums, but songs such as "Hole in the Sky" "Megalomania" and especially "Symptom of the Universe" are classic Sabbath numbers. Anways, my vote has to go with the debut too, because its stand out tracks "Black Sabbath and "NIB" laid down the Sabbath legend and as Il Duce nicely summed up its the genesis of doom.

Black Sabbath 5
Sabotage 0

Vol. 4 is probably their most interesting album and a fav of mine, it will be interesting to see how it does and I hope people will give it a listen/re listen.

There is one small problem with their debut and that is the 2 cover tracks on the album. Not that it makes it a bad album, far from it. It's magnificent and sounds absolutely stupendous after 40 years but it is a truth about the album.

Sabotage was their last truly great album and has some phenomenal tracks and I probably listen to it more than their self titled but only because you know the debut off by heart.

Have to go for their debut though just because really but if it was Paranoid then it would be Sabotage for sure.

S/T 6
Sabotage 0
