Personally, I do not get why Scum is their pinnacle in the eyes of many. "From Enslavement to Obliteration" is much better.

I like Fear, Emptiness, Despair.
FETO is pretty good

i thought the only one that came anywhere near their first two is Order of the Leech

Oh come on, we were asked our opinion as its my favorite. I expressed mine. Is it wrong anyway?

Its not wrong if you really think its the best. But I find it hard to believe that somebody could actually reach the conclusion, that a Slipknot album is the best metal album of all-time.

If you told me that you`d only ever heard about 10 metal albums in your life then I could understand it, but if you told me you know metal pretty well, then your opinion becomes even more startling.

Oh great, you got me right, I never said I've heard many albums.

Oooo. In THAT case, start listening to lots and lots of metal. If you think that a Slipknot album is the very best ever... your mind will be blown.

I HIGHLY suggest starting with...

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Master Of Puppets by Metallica
Ace Of Spades by Motorhead
Leviathan by Mastodon
Powerslave by Iron Maiden
Screaming For Vengeance by Judas Priest
Rust In Peace by Megadeth
Beneath The Remains by Sepultura

...And more. Listen to any and all metal that the fine headbangers of this forum suggest. We will not lead you astray in the metal world, young one.

Welcome to the forums, by the way.

I don't know, I'd much sooner suggest "Paranoid" or "Master of Reality". Apart from N.I.B., and Black Sabbath the first album was unrefined, and just a 70s rock album, really.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.
Al Pacino = God

Ace of Spades isn't really metal either, but still a jammin album

Both your points are valid, but BOTH albums should still be on an essential 1970s/1980s metal listen.
