Eh, I've two band shirts; one for Cryptopsy's "Whisper Supremacy" which a girl walked out with and I've never seen again, but hey I paid for the ****er so I'm still calling it mine, and a Black Witchery "Apocalyptic Carnage".

Both shirts became my hard drinking uniform, even though black is the absolute worst colour for such shenanigans.

As another example, I saw a guy the other day wearing an Opeth T-shirt, and he looked the part, so I struck up a conversation about Opeth asking him what he thought of their new album "Heritage," and he didn't even know that they had a new album. In his defense, he probably thought I was the poser talking about Opeth while wearing dress pants and a tie.
Eh, I don't think it's required that you like an entire bands discography to buy a shirt; I mean, I heard Cryptopsy's fourth album once, and henceforth lost any and all interest in what they've produced afterwards. Even Lord Worm's return didn't respark my interest in what the band was doing.

Festivals, shows, sometimes the internet.
I do wear festival shirts and some band shirts. I have a Bees shirt, some Calexico shirts, a Bob Marley shirt... And a lot of shirts with random nice prints.
No real brands.

I still own a Ride the Lightning shirt from the early 90s. It's tough as hell, almost 20 years old and barely faded. I'll be wearing it again tomorrow, because tomorrow is laundry day.

Yeah, his avatar looks awesome!

On the subject of T shirts, I have a few I've got in the last year which I really like, but I haven't uploaded them yet. I don't usually go for the metal ones, as they always seem to have dragons on them.

well thanks man

I forget how quick this board moves. I got hit up with a friend request in my inbox hence my re-appearance, who knows how long I'll last this time. Though the evolution of music thread has my interest piqued, gonna read a bunch before I toss 2 cents into that one.

It's an incredible thread. Apart from tore, duga and Pedestrian, none of us seem to have understood it!

I was thinking about buying an Aphex Twin t-shirt, saw that it was usually brought along with a nose hair trimmer so decided not to.

That's about the sanest related product you could get with any Aphex merchandise. I would have figured you'd get linked to like butthole bleach or something.

You could also use the method one of my old flatmates did to great success for his own Aphex shirt. Get a plain white t-shirt from anywhere, and a printable iron-on transfer sheet from an office supply store. Print the logo. Iron the shirt. Wear with pride.
