Nah man, I pick Watch Out as my favorite too.
To me, that's when they really got comfortable with what they were doing.

Yeah but they went and ruined it with Crisis.

I like that album less every time I think about it.

I have faith in the new album though.

What's so bad about Crisis? I don't really know it much, but the songs I do seem really good.

Alfred 05-09-2009 10:18 PM

It was too polished and commercial. It had some good songs but it lacked the organic quality that their earlier albums had.

Yeah, I figured that's why people didn't like it...the mixture does sound good though, but I usually like mixtures a lot more than 100% screaming.

Alexisonfire and Watch Out weren't 100% screaming though. Sure, singing was conserved a lot more, but there was still plenty of it to go around. The problem with their newer stuff is that they're using the singing to make the songs catchy and that's not what I want to hear.

Im honestly not a huge fan of it, maybe if they redid it and dallas busted some nice sexy vocals i could dig it more, but its really not that good to me.
